Vaccines Business

Since 2002 Avecia Biologics has been awarded contracts worth ca. $170m from both the US and UK governments. The primary sponsor of this effort has been the US Government’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) for the development of two key vaccines.

Managed through its Vaccines Strategic Business Unit, two vaccine candidates for anthrax and one for plague are at different stages of clinical development:

Small business sub-contracting and procurement

Avecia is keen to broaden its reach of sub-contractors and suppliers and is particularly keen to embrace the requirements to increase its base of small organisations in the spirit outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).  For more information click here.
